DevOps Lead Engineer

The strategy of NN Group is to become a digital disrupter in the insurance market by levering on the Hungarian household needs. The entire organization is going to be changed towards a Scaled Agile way of working. The supporting IT landscape will need end to end flexibility to deliver the features that support the strategy. We are looking for a lead engineer with a passion for driving IT change.

Responsibilities:
You are part of a tribe and squad team that has a DevOps way of working.
You are a lead on a specific application chain within a tribe.
You guide your fellow colleagues in creating the IT landscape that is supporting the business strategy for the Tribe.
You drive the IT change from a landscape with older technologies towards market IT standards which will be a combination of using custom of the shelf products and custom build.
You know how to translate complex business wishes towards epics/user stories that can be realized and maintained.
You are a recognized authority in the entire organisation on multiple IT areas/skills.
You share your knowledge, skills, experience of areas outside the own tribe and squad teams.
You provide advice to the Tribelead and Product Owners with regards to epics and features and also challenge them when needed.
You take the lead in refinement sessions and PI planning events, draw up epics, architecture and move ICT changes.
You take a step extra for our customers and are constantly improving the work.

What matters to us:
At least 10 years working experience as software engineer with multiple systems / languages preferably end to end (Java - frontend - APIs – administration systems etc).
Fluent Hungarian and English both spoken and written.
Proven experience in transforming a relatively old landscape and knowledge of what this involves in terms of challenges.
Proven skills with what is needed to keep the quality of your work high. Unit testing, performance, monitoring, version management and clean code are your standards and you share this to your colleagues.
You know what is needed to put continuous integration and deployment in place.
Proven proficiency in the integration of applications.
Preferably affinity for insurance environment.
University way of working and thinking.
You have a clear view of the possibilities of the latest technologies and the current landscape.
Knowledge of the end to end process chain and IT chain to create significant business value.
You proactively keep your knowledge and skills up to date. You continue to develop yourself and coach your co-workers as a lead developer.
